Let me introduce you to...

Cory!!

It took all of my willpower to not bring one of these home with me from the flea market. I had to remind myself that I don’t have a yard and that I highly doubt my complex allows chickens indoors. So instead I informed Cory that when we have our own backyard we’re going to own chickens.

A bit from my life

I'm slowly but surely getting my apartment the way I want it. This is my finished living room (the only room I have all the way done right now other than my balcony)

A peek into my sketchbook

Recently finished a commissioned bathroom wall painting for a local thrift store.

Flea Market Finds

Found an insanely cute framed kitten embroidery and a Blue jay porcelain figurine. I got them both for only one dollar!

Worked on my balcony a tad

Brought out the rug that Becky (my kitty) ruined as well as the mosaic table my highschool art teacher made. I'll be spending more time out there eating breakfast and drinking tea, very excited!

And to introduce you to Becky :) Expect many many pictures of her on here haha

New favorite thrift store!

While going on a drive today I stumbled upon a new thrift store!

  • The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler
  • Vintage squirrel walnut ceramic dish
  •  Two weaving looms
  • A basket (going to use to hold paintbrushes)
  • Paper making kit (never been opened!)
  • Vintage framed embroidery (only $2 score!)
Definitely will be visiting it again!

Hello!

I'm not sure where to start with my very first Blogspot post so I'll show you a picture of myself and tell you a bit about my day!

I got so lucky while thrifting today I found all of the following:
  • A big box full of good quality embroidery thread (score!)
  • Teddy bear stickers
  • Black ink
  • Ribbon
  • Bag of pine cones (I’ll find something to do with them haha)
  • Women, Art, and Society
  • Clip board
  • Green dress
  • A blue flannel shirt for Cory
  • Floral notebook
  • Ship in a bottle
  • Vintage ceramic cow
  • Vintage framed embroidery that says “A friend is someone who loves you”

I absolutely love the dress I found! It's a beautiful blue and green color and is so flowy and soft, as soon as I find a slip to wear underneath it, I know I'll never be able to take it off.

And Lastly today I bought a new lavender plant to go next to my thriving basil

Overall a very good day :) Cheers!
